Winter Community Hike w/ Arc’teryx
Together with Arc’teryx, we hosted a winter community hike exploring the snowy trails around Semmering. Arc’teryx provided participants with snacks, drinks, and a little surprise or two, before making our way up to Pinkenkogel through snow-covered woodland and scenic alpine terrain. From quiet winter forests to moody alpine views, the route up to the top made for the perfect mix of movement, connection, and shared moments – including a cozy lunch break at the top and hot drinks to warm up at the end. The descent featured some beautiful views of the Semmering railway, the Rax mountain range, and the Schneeberg.
Spring Trail Run w/ Arc’teryx
Together with Arc’teryx, and led by Manuel Perić, Pia Totschnig and Martin Müller, we hosted a trail running session to celebrate the start of spring season and explore the trails around Vienna through the Wienerwald. A community trail adventure featuring a relaxed breakfast with coffee, tea, baked goods, and a little surprise or two by Arc’teryx to start the morning right. Afterwars, the trail team guided us through some of the most beautiful forest paths and viewpoints, giving participants of different skill levels the chance to get a first feeling for the rooty & slippery grounds of the forest. In between, everybody got to wait together to take a breath, or to simply take in the golden-hued scenery, while Mani shared his knowledge on technique and his personal experience with different trails. We wrapped up the run with delicious sandwiches by Maison Bufett & a cozy forest-style floral setting by Flora Seidl.
Trail Running w/ Manuel Perić
Together with Manuel Perić, we hosted a snowy trail running session to explore the woods around Vienna. Participants gathered under thick flakes of white for the perfect intro level loop. After a quick intro on the challenges of running over icy and slippery grounds, the group started off into the forest together. Mani guided them through the snow, gave helpful advice on running technique, and told one or two personal tales of his many solo trips through the countryside along the way. The final ascent took participants all the way up to the striking Habsburgerwarte, before they concluded their run at the local inn over hot tea and shared stories. Taking breaks in between to wait for each other did not only make for a safe space to explore trail running as a beginner, but also created opportunities for deeper appreciation of nature’s beauty. Spending this time within the calm of the snow and the communal spirit of the group felt like a truly special experience.
