Metha

It all began with a so-called “weed.” Margarethe’s garden was overgrown with nettles – a plant that, at first, were more of a nuisance than a gift. But she remembered her grandmother's teachings, who had always sworn by the nettle as a purifying herbal remedy. Through deeper exploration of the plant, Margarethe uncovered its remarkable properties and healing potential. Together with Eva Maria Schalk, she created METHA – a handcrafted nettle soap that celebrates the versatile power of this humble plant. The collection now also includes a daffodil soap made from the poet’s narcissus.

The illustrated female figure serves as the emblem of the soap – embodying a holistic connection to the healing plant and to nature itself. The custom logotype, paired with organic type elements, reflects a design language that feels natural, grounded, and deeply rooted in the landscape from which it was born.
